{January 25, 2011}   Who’s to blame.

Earlier this month we heard about a tragic shooting of a congress woman, a judge, a 9 year old girl and several others. Yes that was a tragedy.  But what has followed has been a travesty. The talking heads started pointing fingers. The so called experts started spewing out there ill concieved theories about the motivation of an obviously disturbed man. And then to top it off Rev Fred Phelps and his minions of hate anounced they were going to protest the funerals in Phoenix.  I guess he needs to do somthing to account for the est 250 thousand dollars he and his so called church spends each year on protest. Not Verified.  Sorry I digress.  Some say it is the hate speach of the political partys. So of course we must learn to curb such speech. Now if that is not a load of crap. Of course that came from the party that took a pasting in nov. The anti gun folks started jumping up and down and drooling, they now have somthing to point at and proclaim see if this man could not get a gun it would not have happened. Want to know who’s at fault? In my opinion at least. We all are. For allowing our representatives to get so far off track. For condoning the network and cable talking heads to turn news and information into entertainment. For knuckling under to the tactics of the pc crowd. Tactics that limit free speech which in turn turns into anger which will end in violance. We need to return to a point where it is ok to disagree.  Where we don’t feel the need to make the other person the villain. Its ok to be passionate. But let’s stop spouting hatred just because we feel powerless. We have the power to affect change. Don’t vote for people that spout such rhetorical bile. It says loads about there character.  And tell them why you will not support them. Don’t watch the networks that broadcast this crap. When there ratings go down they will change format. Have honest conversations with those around you. And never ever give up your rights.

{January 25, 2011}   A new direction.

Well I have had a hard time trying to figure out what to write about. Then I heard someone say write what you know. Write your passion. So I think I will give it a try.

{November 11, 2009}   Hello

Hi I am Sonia. I am  just another driver out here. Who Knows I may just be in the rig right next to yours. In my Blog I will explore the ever-changing trucking world.  I hope you will join me on my journey. The trucking world is a very diverse place, To Quote Star Trek Vulcan’s Motto IDIC “Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations”.That explains our sub culture fairly well. We are a culture composed of all races creeds cultures religions, and all genders. That’s right you name it we got it. The days of the stereotypical Clean cut aqua velvet wearing male trucker are as long gone as the mom and pop full service truck stop complete with the big round table. I myself am a intersexed (hermaphrodite) woman. So tell me who are you? What are your issues? Let’s explore this Wonderful world together.

I am totally new to this writing thing. The most creative writing I have ever done was my log book. So please be patient. Hopefully I will get better….

Sonia.
